As a church we encourage the congregation to play an active part in getting involved in serving in the ministry. Members could get involved in various activities such as ushering, children's work, praise and worship, playing musical instruments and serving refreshments after the service. If you are interested in getting involved then please ask an usher to give you more information regarding this.
Sessions available at the ministry:
Bible Classes for New Christians:
Christianity can sometimes be complex with so many different denominations and beliefs. As a result, the pastors offer a five week course (Saturdays from 3:30 - 5pm) on what it means to be a born again Christian and part of the charismatic movement looking at various topics such as the trinity, being born again, Holy Spirit, water baptism, holy spirit baptism, speaking in tongues, operating in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, prayer life, annointing, spiritual warfare and church discipleship.
Baptism:
In the summer, we do water baptism during the service from 11 - 1:00pm for one Sunday. This is a great opportunity if you are a new believer and would like to be baptised. We then hold a summer BBQ in the park where you will have the opportunity to invite your friends and family for the service.
Counselling Sessions:
The ministry has a dedicated Christian Counsellor who one can discuss various issues such as relationship difficulties, problems at home, problems with alcohol, drug related or health problems, work related issues etc. Please speak to the Church Counsellor to find out more about this service in the church.
Deliverance Sessions:
Deliverance Sessions take place every Tuesday at Merryhills Primary School, Bincote Road, Enfield, EN2 7RE from 7:30 – 9:00pm. Come, Break Free and see your life change for the better! Deliverance plays an important part of the church as we believe that the ministry that Jesus and the early apostles did, needs to carry on. Part of Jesus and the apostles ministry was to deliver people who were suffering under demonic oppression such as the time Jesus cast out the demons out of the two men that lived in the cemetery and were so violent that no one could go through that area so Jesus cast the demons out of them (Matthew 8: 28). Before members of the congregation go for deliverance sessions, we recommend reading the following book, 'Christian Set Yourself Free' by Graham and Shirley Powell. Also, before deliverance sessions begin we do a ½ hour teaching on the following: what is deliverance, the benefits of being set free and how you can maintain your deliverance. Please ask the ushers for more information regarding the time and place deliverance sessions take place.
Evangelism Ministry:
Evangelism is a vital aspect in the Kingdom of God as there are many people out there who don't know how Jesus through His Holy Spirit can transform and bless their lives here on earth but also gain eternal life through accepting Him as their Personal Saviour through repentance of sins and asking Jesus Christ of Nazareth to come into their lives. We are therefore currently building up a team of evangelists who will be going out on Saturdays or Sundays to give out evangelism tracts and speak about Jesus. If you would like to be part of this team please ask the ushers for more information.
Youth and Children's Ministry:
Youth and Children’s Ministries take place from 11:30 – 1:30pm. Victory In Christ Ministry believes that children and young people play an important role in the church as they will be tomorrow's leaders. Therefore, we encourage our children from an early age to know the way of the Lord and also participate in fun activities the church provides so that they can enjoy being in fellowship with other children and young people in the church.
' Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.' Proverbs 22:6
